Late 1930s floral rayon evening gown. The print is made up of several kind of flowers in blues, reds, golds and pink with green foliage. The bodice, at the bust only , is tightly gathered along the outside of the bust line and down the center front of the bust. A little ruffle accents the sweetheart neckline. The dress flows straight to the floor from the bust with only two small, ruffled edge, pockets on the skirt to accent. The skirt is edged, at the hem, with a red fabric covered cording that adds weight to the skirt. Side seam buttons close the dress. |

Lovely butter cream crepe backed satin halter evening dress with matching jacket. The dress has a thin hater tie and a totally shirred bodice. Side seam zipper and full skirt. There are couple of pin holes in the satin where it looks like someone attached a brooch. I also see a few scattered spots that can be seen from the inside of the dresses' skirt. The jacket is fill bodied with inverted pleats and center front brass buttons. |

Sweet early 40s silk velvet purple dress with ruched and pleated bodice. The dress has a small rounded neckline and short slightly puffed sleeves. Four brass buttons close at the center front. The bodice has a smooth shoulder yoke that leads into a wide panel of ruching across the top of the bust line and below. Between the ruching the fabric is tightly gathered through the bust. At this point the waistline is still slightly above the natural waist so you know it is early anywhere fromt 1938-43 in the range. The is a tiny fabric repair on the back neck about a half inch long. The belt is no longer with the dress. |

The jacket has long sleeves and drapes freely at the center front without closures. There are several small holes on the back of the dress at the neck but with the jacket on they are not seen. |

Mid-way down the skirt of the dress at the sides, there is a series of ruching stitches that creates gentle draping down the sides of the rest of the dress. |
