C. 1960s Red fox fur jacket with very narrow stripes of light tan leather between the pelts. Center front zipper and leather ties. The sleeves have a bit of fullness that narrows at the wrist. The collar is a standing rolled collar.

C. 1960s Medium dark brown mink coat with shawl collar and bracelet length, slightly bell-shaped sleeves. The fur is in excellent condition is soft and supple. A single hook and eye closes the coat the neck.

C. 1950s Fun fur parka with hood from Alaska. The fur is incredibly thick rabbit with fox around the hood and black curly lamb around the6sleeve near the wrist. This coat was bought in Alaska in the late 50s or early 70s from a native, as the story goes, and brought back to Texas and given as a gift to the man's daughter. The parka has a zipper center front and is lined in a rust red quilted satin. The fur, as I mentioned, is rabbit but it is very thick and dense. The hood is edged in the fox as is the sleeve just below the band of black curly lamb. Just a wonderful early parka.

C.1930S Late 30s to early 40s black seal short coat with wide cuffs. This is a gorgeous fur, soft and supple. The coat has a small rolled collar and a single large hook to close the center front. The sleeves are bracelet length and wide with a very deep turned back cuff. The coat is lined in black silk satin. A full swipe to the hem.

c.1950S A simply stunningly beautiful ate teens or early 20s influenced black silk satin evening coat lined in white satin. The high standing collar is set alone the sternum line buts dips lower on the back of the neck, very similar to the Kimono, that daringly revealed the nape of the neck and the shoulders just below the neck. The front coat panels and sleeves are cut in one that creates a very square shape in front until the arms are extended then creating a bat wing effect. The back of the coat has a deep inverted pleat that releases it's fullness down into the center of the coat. The Back sleeve is on an angle up to the shoulder. I was shocked to not see a designer in this garment, it so stunning and not run of the mill. The coat closes at the throat with a single large button. L must say it was very HARD to post this coat and not put it into my coat closet, which is where it still might end up!

c.1970s Very dramatic evening coat in a muted swirling pattern cotton lined in salmon pink. Huge vertical ruffle highlights the center front of the coat. Surrounding the neckline is a large gathered shawl collar. A gathered flounce edges the bottom hem and gathered fluted ruffle adorns the long sleeves. A single button closes the center front at the throat.

C. 1960s Sweet gray wool tweed collarless coat with raccoon fur around the sleeve hem and bottom coat hem. The coat's closing is off-set to the left and makes use of large covered matching buttons with loops. Princess seams create a very slimming silhouette.

C. 1950s A great black wool swing coat that has black polka dots. The dots are subtle but they can be seen. The coat has a lovely wide shawl collar that flows into tuxedo lapels. The seep of the coat is very full. The sleeves are slightly narrowed and are bracelet length. Lined in black satin.

c.1970s Ethnic looking embroidered fur lined vest. The vest is lined in long sheep or goat fur and the embroidery is done in blue silk thread. The fur shows signs of wear with thinning around the armscye.

C. 1950s A beautiful rich dark mink coat with glove length sleeves and a wide segmented collar. The collar is constructed with using narrower stripes of pelts which when sewed together with the curve creates a slightly "hipped" collar that slightly stands away from the shoulders. The fur is thick and absolutely luxurious. The coat was bought new from the Marshall Fields department store. Lined in an embroidered dark brown satin.
