C.1920s This is a wonderful example of 1920s swimsuits. Red wool knit with ivory collar and ivory binding on the armholes and the center front button placket. There are moth holes in this suit.

C.1920s A really beautiful evening gown in lavender silk chiffon with silver beading and silk satin pink slip with new ribbon shoulder straps. The gown is heavily beaded as can be seen in the photos. There is very, very little bead lose that I have been able to discover. No repairs, armcyes are also without blemish. The color is between a lilac and lavender. There is gathering at the dropped waist, not much but enough to delineate the waistline.

C.1920s Beautiful black silk chiffon short tunic beaded in black crystal bugle beads. Deep v-neckline with an attached narrow beaded collar and tie. The tunic has one single closing on right and left sides and snaps at the left shoulder.

C.1920s Silk chiffon dress with black crystal beading. The color is somewhere between a deep rose to mauve/purple. Very pretty color and one I have not seen before. The black beads provide a striking contrast. The dress has a matching slip of China silk dyed to the same color as the dress. The lovely lone sleeves of the dress are actually attached to the slip. The sleeves are straight to the elbow then the lower arm is a bell shape gathered into the cuff and upper arm seam. The slip is Ivory silk chiffon along the upper bodice then silk below with as mentioned the long sleeves attached. The dress has snaps along the left shoulder and the left side seam. There is some bead lose. Around the rounded neckline is a single run of beads and some are missing on the right side back. The dress has a v-neckline and straight bodice that joins the skirt at a dropped waistline seam. The skirt is gathered into the dropped waist seam. Beading on the front and back bodice but only on the front of the skirt. A very short portion of the skirt hem has come away from the waistline seam on the left side but it will be repaired. Several fain, small spots on the dress.

C.1920s A wonderful bright red silk chiffon dress with matching red silk slip. The bodice of the dress is decorated with a trailing bouquet of red silk flowers. The full skirt is gathered into the dropped waistline. The skirt is decorated with a twisted rope of red and silver crystal beads. Along the hem of the China silk slip is an attached knife pleated matching red silk chiffon.

C.1920s A peach silk chiffon dress with clear crystal beading. The dress has an attached peach jersey slip. The Scooped neckline and armcyes are hand bound. The edges are tightly rolled and hand bound with matching thread. The same technique is used on the edges of the pleated cummerbund and skirt hem. The crystal beading is in a large rose floral design. The design is repeated on a smaller scale along the handkerchief hem. Several small grease spots on the bodice.

C.1920s A gorgeous black silk velvet cape with large back bow and center back drape. The cape is shirred at the front of the shoulders and has a center front sash tie that closes the cape the throat. The shirring extends in a curved line from the front of the shoulders across the arms and onto the back. At the top of the back at the center is a huge matching velvet bow. Extending from beneath the bow is a wide slightly gathered draped panel that falls to below the cape’s hemline. Very beautiful and dramatic piece. The lining of black chiffon is torn up around the back neck line and there are some spots on the velvet on the back. These spots look slightly lighter in certain light.

C.1920s A lovely black cotton velvet evening dress with a skirt overlay of black and gold metallic and silk lace. The neckline is a v-shape with a rounded back. The dress falls straight to the dropped waistline. On the left side at the waistline seam is a silver silk organza and gold metallic floral cluster with draping stems and leaves. The skirt is gathered into the seam line beneath a narrow matching velvet seam cord. The bottom edge of the velvet skirt panel curves in an upward shaped crescent and in the back it curves in the opposite direction. Attached to the curved velvet hem is the lace that is over a panel of black fabric.

C.1920s A lovely multi-colored silk chiffon dress that does have a large hole in the skirt but the fabric is wonderful and with the attached lining and the very busy print the hole virtually disappears. The size is about the size of a small lime, a couple of brown spots close to the hole that also blend into the print. Cute flutter sleeves. Drop waist and the skirt joins the dropped waist bodice with a curved seam line.
