C.1930s A lovely black silk satin evening gown with silver bugle beads and rhinestones. Decorating the scooped neckline and bodice are three bands of crystal bugle beads and rhinestones. Between the top and second band is a narrow panel of black silk chiffon. The bodice falls straight to the seam between the bodice and skirt. The seam connecting the two is curved. On the skirt at four of the gore seams is an attached triangularly shaped matching silk that drapes freely beyond the seam. There have been some alterations to the dress that have been let out. You can see the two darts on the front and the lifting seam line across the back. They may disappear it you wanted to try soaking the dress and then back pressing.

C.1930s A sweet sheer navy blue dress with gathered bodice. The high neckline is surrounded with a small pointed collar and at center front a button placket with small MOP buttons. These buttons are for decoration and are not functional. The short sleeves are set high on the shoulder with small little shoulder pads. The bodice and back are gathered into the shoulder yoke and cummerbund sash seam. The sash is seamed across the front top and drapes freely across the back to slide through a matching covered buckle at the center back. The skirt is boxed pleated into the bodice and skirt seam that is hidden beneath the sash belt. One small repair to the skirt at the seam line hidden beneath the sash.

C.1930s This is a lovely black silk velvet evening gown with a striped bodice. The gown has a black velvet pointed collar and black velvet center front button placket set with rhinestone buttons. The bodice is striped silk velvet in red, black, blue, green, and purple. The wider bands of black and red make a bold graphic statement. The long sleeves are cut in one with the bodice and are shirred at the wrist to make a cuff. The bias cut skirt meets the bodice above the natural waistline. Side seam snaps

C.1930s Great looking black knit dress with looped epaulets on the shoulders. The dress is an Arthur somebody Original. The knit is a silk textured design that looks like leaves. The shoulders are decorated with these wonderful epaulets of looped matching fabric set with an oval shaped glitzy ornament set with tiny clear and black rhinestones. The sleeves are glove length shaped at the wrist. The front of the dress appears to be a tunic top hanging free of the bodice below the waistline. Actually what happens is the bottom of the front draped portion wraps around the back of the dress to become a wide draped sash. The back of the dress is all in one. A center back neck zipper and a side seam zipper close the dress.

C.1930s Blue cotton day dress with a white print and matching belt. The v-neckline is boarded by a white collar and with a tie at the center front. Large ivory colored buttons close the center front of the dress. A matching belt closes with a white slide through buckle. There is a fade spot on the right side just below the waistline seam and some yellowing on the collar.

C.1930s This is a really lovely rust crepe backed silk satin evening gown with quilted fabric accents. The gown is made with an attached tunic extending over a slim skirt. The neckline is boarded with a quilted matching fabric “collarâ€� that overlaps the sleeves that are matching quilted satin. The quilting is accomplished by running cotton cording between the layers and then stitching above and below the cord. The bust is tightly gathered into the quilted seam and into the pointed yoke seam creating fullness and dimension to the bust. The back of the gown has a plunging v-line below the buttons at the back of the neck.The quilting effect is used along the hem of the tunic. The slim skirt has three gores. There are some black flecks on the front of the skirt below the knee area and a few scared spots on the back of the skirt slightly right of center low below the knee area.

C.1930s Black silk velvet evening gown with rhinestones at the wrist and across the center back. The gown has an open draped neckline that is one with the bodice. The bodice is gathered into the sleeves seam at an angle and gathered into the curved seam below the bust. The gathering adds draping to the bodice above and below. The long sleeves end in four points that are attached to a band of clear rhinestones that make the cuff. The back of the evening gown has a single closure at the back neck then is open to the low back. Across the center low back is another band of clear rhinestones. When I got the gown I had to do some restoration to this area. The fabric had been taken in and up in a very weird way so I let it all out and put it back together again. On the right side just above the rhinestone band there was a small tear and I folded the fabric back and hemmed it to cover this damage. On either side of the rhinestone band matching black silk velvet ties are attached. The ties reach around to the r=front of the gown to tie.

C.1930s A three piece black lace evening gown with matching belt. The gown has a matching lace jacket and a black rayon full slip. The gown has a v-neckline and attaches to the skirt above the natural waistline. The skirt of the gown has fullness in the lower skirt that is attached via pointed seams. I believe that the tulle was attached at a later date but I like it so I left it on the gown. Side seam snaps close the gown. The jacket falls to below the natural waistline and has short sleeves. I have only found one small, one inch long tear in lace on the lower skirt and it is not at all noticeable when worn.

The print is a two-tone yellow with golden yellow roses touched with golden rod accents on the petals. Pale green leaves and stems complete the floral design.

C.1930s A nice deep pink rayon afternoon or evening gown with a large ruffle and flower cluster over the back right hip. The dress front has four v-shaped tucks below the bust at the center. The dress falls straight into the skirt and join the bias cut full skirting at a deeply pointed seam. The pointed seam joins the skirt at center front and back with a yoke between on the sides with a pointed skirt seam attaches to the yoke. The back of the gown laps left to right with tucks radiating out from beneath the double layer of ruffled rayon on which the blue and yellow rayon flowers are set. A narrow matching rayon belt encircles the natural waist and left side seam snaps close the dress.

C.1930s A lovely pale yellow cotton lawn dress with embroidery and fagoting from the late 1930s. The dress has a small standing collar and an open v-neckline. The short sleeves are cut in one with the bodice. Two sets of darts shape the bust left and right of center. The dress has center front hidden snaps to close the dress that extend down into the skirt. The skirt and bodice join just slightly above the natural waistline beneath a yellow lawn and orange silk attached sash waistband. The sash waistband is attached from the left of center, around the back and stopping just right of center. The sash then drapes across the center to snap onto the fixed portion on the left. The floral embroidery and fagoting are mirrored on the bodice and skirt.

The upper bodice above the bust and below the open rounded neckline is a tight closely stitched crochet that looks a bit like a cable stitch sectioned by a looser stitch. The dress is much more open and has a floral look to the stitch. The skirt is made in four panels and joins the bodice at the natural waistline.
