C.1950s Black silk organza skirt with gold threads running through the fabric on a diagonal. The organza is set over a skirt of black rayon. The waistband is black velvet that has some stretch to it, now it is a bit stretched as you can see by the fluted looking top edge. |

C.1950-I. Magnin dove gray wool dress with rolled collar that extends down to tie with short draping ties. On one of the ties along the hemline is a hole that is completely hidden when tied with the tie on the bottom. It could be hemmed to hide the hole but would make the wide off. Bodice fullness is released into the bust from the bust darts that are placed at the waistline seam. Three-quarter sleeves accented with black and gray buttons. The dresses closes up the center front with buttons and hooks at the waist. The buttons are hidden behind the center front vertical pleat. The pencil skirt has two large pockets and two sets of half pleats above thepockets. |

C.1950-Great looking navy blue rough weave linen dress accented with white pique cuffs and removable collar. I just noticed that I had the collar snapped on off-center, opps! The linen is a more open or rough weave that gives the garment a lot more texture. The slim dress has an attached little bolero bodice that is attached at the shoulders and with the center front button band. The band ruins from the high rounded neckline to the skirt hem and is accented with large white buttons. The sleeves on the attached bolero are narrow and have the white pique turned back cuffs. The dress itself is sleeveless. The skirt is constructed in overlapping horizontal panels or tiers. Matching belt. |
