1960S Sapphire blue rayon satin evening gown with iridescent blue sequined and beaded bodice. Scooped necklines front and back with a center back zipper to close the garment. Matching blue bow at center front at waistline seam. The streamers of the bow reach almost to the hem of the garment and are accented with matching sequins. The skirt has an a-line shape in front and a bit more fullness in the back of the skirt because of the center back inverted pleat that creates the additional fullness. The satin is backed with moderately firm white muslin to add in maintaining the form and shape of the skirt. BUST: 32 WAIST: 24 HIPS: 40 LENGTH: 57 CONDITION: Excellent |

1960S White silk satin evening gown covered in white sequins in double rows between scrolling. Thin satin straps support the gown over the shoulders. Bust darts help shape the bodice. A wide pleated silk satin cummerbund defines the mid-drift and waist. The cummerbund is tightly gathered at the center back either side of the zipper. Hooks are used to hold the gathered fabric over the zipper to hide it from sight. A wide panel of matching white silk satin drapes down the center back. There is a spot on the satin, I took a photo of it and it is posted with the other photos in the gallery. There is so much fabric and the spot is low down so is not noticeable unless someone is eye level with it. It is a faint yellow color. C. 1960s Lovely silk stain 2 piece ensemble consisting of a sheath dress with a beaded over tunic shell. The sheath is made in British Hong Kong and is a size 16. The bodice of the sheath is a polished cotton attached at the waist to a skirt of satin with a center back zipper. The shell is beaded with pearls and gold and silver bugle beads around the neckline and at the side seam slits. Bust is 38, waist is 33, hips are 42. There are a couple of faint spots on the skirt and one on the shell, otherwise condition is excellent. |
