80s Ladies Clothing

c. 1980s Red and white silk strapless floral drop waist party dress with shirred bodice. The shirred fabric that edges the top of the right bodice is draped and twisted down the center front running between the breasts, then crosses over the draped left side to become the dropped waist cummerbund. The right side crosses over to the right beneath the draped left side becoming the right side of the cummerbund. Whew, that was a long sentence, hope it makes sense! The skirt is gently gathered into the dropped waist seam line at the lower edge of the cummerbund. The dress is lined in white acetate and a band of horsehair is used within the skirts hem to provide a fuller shape to the skirt’s hemline.

There are small shoulder pads set in at the top of the sleeve. The waistline is empire. The skirt is long black fringe set on black poly crepe. There is an inner slip of black chiffon. The skirt has a high side slit. Center back zipper.

c. 1980s Nice little gray dress in a poly that looks and feels like wool with an pewter colored acetate shoulder yoke, cuffs and pocket flaps. The dress buttons up the center front. Two patch pockets are on the bodice with long body seams that run from below the pockets to below the hips. The sleeves are long and tapered ending in a gray pewter turned back pointed cuff. The dress is very soft and is unlined.

C.1980s Wonderful dinner or evening dress from Lian Carlo a designer that is carried by Neiman Marcus. The bodice is black lace outline din gold thread. The neckline is the scalloped edge of the lace. The mid-section of the dress is pleated and draped in gray chiffon that is twisted a the center. The skirt portion of the dress is black silk crepe. The dress is form fitting and very slenderizing. A center back zipper closes the dress.

C.1980s Beautiful San Carlo evening gown in black silk crepe with a drape pleated organza bust. The scalloped pleated bust is in hot pink, pink and gold. Directly beneath the pleated bust the gown is decorated with gold embroidery set with beads and sequins. The gown is slightly trained in back with a slight fishtail train. A center back zipper closes the dress.

C.1980s Coogie Australian sweater knit dress in pink, white, hot pink and black. Long narrow sleeves with a string tie at the throat. This is new/old stores tock with original tags still attached. The neckline dips low below the tie to reveal a fair amount of cleavage. The tag reads as a size large.

C.1980s Great Bob Evans sky blue silk satin full swing coat with padded shoulders and lined in lime green with lime green silk satin skinny leg trousers. The matching lime green belt encircles the coat waist. The coat has very wide 3/4 sleeves with a deep turned back cuff. The center front folds back to create wide lapels rounded on the top edge. The trousers are very skinny legged like the 50s cigarette pant and close along the left side seam. This outfit is old store stock, never worn with original store, Stanley Korchak, tags still attached. Stanley's is a VERY high end Dallas department store.

C.1980 This little party dress is white lace on tulle for the bodice with the same lace used to accent the hem of the skirt. The neckline is scalloped, following the line of the lace edge. A wide white gro-grain ribbon is the waist sash that ties in a bow at center back. The skirt is an open weave with a closed weave in white to create the checkerboard pattern.
