1920s Ladies Hats

Silver bullion thread stitched onto net leaf shapes and then attached to a wired circlet to wind around the head across the forehead for an evening out on the town or for a wedding. The silver is a bit tarnished. On the side is a matching silver flower set with three pearls. The ends of the silver wrapped wire is bent back to form loops that would have a ribbon threaded through and then tied at the center back head.

Lovely black French lace hat set on a wire frame decorated with original flowers. The brim is off-width measuring 1.5 to 3.5 inches wide. There are a couple of holes in the lace on the crown much smaller than a pea. The flowers are rose-colored silk set in a bouquet on the front of the hat.

Late 30s to maybe early 40s chocolate brown straw wide brim hat. The brim is 7 inches wide and has a gently undulating edge. The crown is small and shallow surrounded by a cream colored silk faille ribbon. By delle Donna of New York.

Cute little black straw hat from the 30s. The hat has a base band of black straw that encircles the head. Front to back is another band and then two side bands. The bands leave open peep holes in the hat. The hat is decorated with little polka-dots of matching black straw tightly wrapped in concentric circles.

Wonderful straw hat that is open in the center of the deep pleated crown. The crown narrows as it climbs to the top of the hat but is then pleated back down inside of itself creating a double open crown. Both crown are surrounded by faille ribbon. The wide brim is turned up slightly and is adorned with black silk roses that spill over the brim to the underside of the brim.
